THE Baltimore Ravens already boasted one of the NFL's most dominant offenses, but they got much scarier this offseason.

In one of the best moves of free agency, the Ravens signed running back Derrick Henry as their newest ball carrier.

The Ravens already had a dominant running game, not from their running backs, but from quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is coming off an MVP win.

Jackson finished last season with 821 rushing yards and five touchdowns.

Second-year wide receiver Zay Flowers developed a great connection with his quarterback last season and shared how special he is for the team's success.

"He's built different, ain't nobody like that," Flowers said.

Meanwhile, Henry rushed for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023.

The two-headed rushing monster in the backfield will be a nightmare for opponents, but there is one player on the Ravens who could benefit the most from it.

Flowers thinks such a dominant rushing attack will open up more opportunities for him to succeed.

When asked about his initial reaction to the Henry signing, Flowers told The U.S. Sun, "I'm gonna get more one-on-ones."

"They gotta worry about Lamar and Derrick in the box," the 23-year-old said.

Flowers explained that opposing defenses now need to worry about the possibility of two players taking off instead of one, allowing the Ravens' receivers to create better space.

"That'll help out the receivers and get us open more," he said.

"We'll be running around a little bit more because they'll have to worry about Lamar and Derrick in the backfield."

Flowers showed that he has the potential to be a star in the NFL during his rookie season in 2023, but he thinks he will break out in a big way in 2023.

After posting 858 yards and five touchdowns last year, Flowers sees himself hitting big milestones with the attention on Henry.

"I at least want 1,000 yards," Flowers said.

The main goal for Flowers isn't personal achievements though, it's personal success, and he thinks the Ravens have what it takes to return to the AFC Championship game and win a Super Bowl.

They gotta worry about Lamar and Derrick in the box.

"We had a great season last year, we had a great team, so we're gonna be able to get back there," Flowers said.

"Most importantly I want to win, get back to where we was, and try to go win a Super Bowl."

The Ravens finished 13-4 in 2023 and were one step away from competing in the Super Bowl.

They lost against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship, a game where Flowers went for 115 yards with a touchdown.

The Ravens will kick off the 2024 season with a rematch against the Ravens, a game Flowers has circled on his calendar.

"I like our first game," Flowers said with a smile.

Flowers and the Ravens will kick off their season against the Chiefs on Thursday, September 5.
