The ex-NFL tight end posted a clip of himself doing dumbbell shoulder press on Instagram.

In the video, Sharpe, 56, could be seen picking up a couple of 88-pound dumbbells and then sitting down on a workout bench.

After a moment, he started lifting them up to work on his shoulders.

"Back locked in, back loaded," the First Take star wrote in the caption.

"40kg/88lbs on shoulders.

"We just gettin warm in here."

Fans marveled at Sharpe's physique in the comments, saying he still looks NFL-ready.

"Unc got 1 slant route left in the tank," one wrote.

"Unc bout to be a walk-on for an NFL team," another added.

"Unk swole," a third said.

"Ain’t no one touching Unc with those weights!!" one wrote.

Sharpe is currently enjoying a break from the First Take set.

He's still keeping up to speed with the biggest headlines in sports.

The NFL Hall-of-Famer watched the US men's basketball team's 101-100 comeback win over South Sudan last week.

Shannon Sharpe's playing career

Shannon Sharpe was a three-time Super Bowl champion before his heavyweight media career.

The former tight end played in the NFL from 1990 until 2003 - mostly with the Denver Broncos.

He was part of the Super Bowl championship teams in 1998 and 1999 as well as the Baltimore Ravens' title-winning team in 2001.

Sharpe was an eight-time Pro Bowler and voted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

He finished with 10,060 career receiving yards from 815 receptions with 62 touchdowns.

The ex-NFL star has had just as strong a career on television screens since retiring.

Sharpe lauded the Los Angeles Lakers star after the game.

"I guess we got our answer on who’s taking the last shot IF* USA men’s team dwn[sic] a basket?" he posted on X.

"Guess he’s not to old after all. #GOATJAMES #OlympicPrep #WeWinningGold."

James has been named Team USA's flag bearer for Friday's opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

"It’s an incredible honor to represent the United States on this global stage, especially in a moment that can bring the whole world together," the 20-time NBA All-Star said in a statement.
