Giants star Daniel Jones gives injury update on torn ACL rehab and says ‘we’ll be a different team’ next NFL season

Jones is coming off a less-than-stellar season

NEW York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones revealed an update regarding his torn ACL recovery and rehab.

The 27-year-old Jones is eight months removed from undergoing season-ending ACL surgery on his right knee last November.

Jones spoke to reporters at his youth camp in Hoboken, New Jersey on Sunday.

He shared that there will be no limitations for him moving forward and he will participate in the Giants training camp this week.

"Feel good, yeah, I’m ready to go," Jones said, per The New York Post.

"Ready to go in training camp.

"I’m looking forward to Wednesday."

Jones was asked more directly if he's fully cleared to practice, and he replied, "Yeah should be good to go."

New York will report to training camp in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Tuesday.

Jones and the rest of the Giants will participate in practice the following day.

It will be a massive year for New York and the $160 million quarterback.

Jones appeared in just six games during the team's 6-11 season last year.

He led the Giants to a playoff win in 2022.

But last season, Jones recorded 909 passing yards, two touchdowns, and six interceptions.

He tore his ACL in Week 8 against the Las Vegas Raiders.

New York didn't trade up or draft a quarterback in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft and instead selected LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers with the No. 6 pick.

The Giants also signed running back Devin Singletary and let star Saquon Barkley leave in free agency while adding two new guards on the offensive line.

"I’m excited,” Jones said. “We got some new guys coming in and we’ll be a different team than last year, so it’s about finding out who the team is going to be and grow and build chemistry and be on the same page."

Jones will have a $47.8 million cap hit this season.

Drew Lock, Tommy DeVito, and Nathan Rourke will compete in the quarterback room.

New York will have six practices over the first seven days of training camp.

The Giants will play their first preseason game against the Detroit Lions on August 8.
