GET Up host Mike Greenberg has made a potentially costly bet with ESPN colleague Pat McAfee.

Greenberg made an appearance on McAfee's show on Thursday in which he made a bold prediction regarding his beloved New York Jets.

Rumors have long persisted that Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams could be eyeing a reunion with his former Green Bay Packers teammate, Aaron Rodgers - currently the quarterback of the Jets.

Acquiring Adams would be no mean feat, given that this season will only be the third of his five-year $140 million contract.

However, Greenberg remains exceedingly optimistic that the Jets will be able to make a deal sooner or later.

"I already consider Davante Adams a Jet. As far as I'm concerned we already have him," he said.

What's more, Greenberg later added, "Anything you want to wager I will wager that Davante Adams is a Jet by Halloween."

At first, McAfee proposed that Greenberg say "f**k" on ESPN and that in turn, he'd wear a suit for a day - something the Get Up host immediately shot down.

"I can't get away with all the stuff you can get away with McAfee let's face it," Greenberg commented.

Instead, he agreed to wear a tank top live on air - something McAfee regularly does.

"I will dress as McAfee for an entire show," Greenberg said.

"In fact, I'd love to have some of you guys come up and do the show, and we'd just do it in McAfee style.

The bet received a mixed response from fans on X, with not all convinced Greenberg would be on the winning side.

"Adams won't go because Rodgers won't be in the league in two years," one viewer said.

"[49ers] have a better chance of getting Davante than the Jets,"' suggested a second.

While a third simply said they felt these were "Great deals."

As for Adams, he was asked on Wednesday if his mindset now was better than it was during some of the lower moments last season - as shown on the Netflix docuseries, Receiver.
