Velarde filed for the order in Los Angeles last week, per court documents seen by TMZ.

Garcia was "increasingly out of control and erratic," according to the report.

The 25-year-old former WBC lightweight title holder allegedly harassed Velarde and her brother in a restaurant earlier this month.

Alleged text messages seen by TMZ from the court documents appear to show Garcia saying he will put out "a hit" on Valarde's sibling.

Garcia married Velarde in 2021, with the pair divorcing in January of this year.

The couple told the outlet they have "talked and are committed to peacefully fixing their issues."

Velarde has reached out to her attorney to inquire about rescinding the order, the TMZ report adds.

Garcia reportedly admits he has "been dealing with issues" but was "adamant he's never gotten physical with his ex and loves his family."

A court date has been set for next month if the TRO remains in place.

The court order bars Garcia from getting within 100 yards of Andrea, their two kids, her brother, or her parents.

Garcia is currently banned from boxing for a year after failing a drugs test.

He tested positive for the banned substance ostarine in two separate tests taken before his fight with Devin Haney on April.

Garcia recently claimed he had entered rehab following a string of vile online remarks, which included racial slurs.

"I grew up in a neighborhood where everyone said that word that now I’m abolishing from my vocabulary," Garcia said in an Instagram statement.

"I’ve supported many black men and black communities.

I sincerely apologize if I hurt and offended anyone.

"I’m not mad at the outrage and I sincerely apologize if I hurt and offended anyone."

Boxing promoter Oscar de la Hoya blasted Garcia's posts and insisted his apology was just the first step towards making up for them.

”There is no room for hate or intolerance at my company. Period," he posted on X.

"I condemn Ryan’s words in the strongest terms possible.

"I see that he has apologized, and that is a start - but it is only a start to earn back the trust and respect of those of us who have and continue to support him.

"We hope Ryan will use the time he has away from the sport to work through the issues he has publicly discussed.

"We stand ready to help in whatever we can."

Garcia has also been expelled from the World Boxing Council.
