The new fan space features an all-inclusive tiered deck which will span seven sections.

Designed to help fans continue tailgating in the stadium, the new area will accommodate just over 1,500 supporters.

Fans can enjoy all-you-can-eat tailgate food and non-alcoholic beverages as an in-house DJ ramps up the atmosphere.

Beer and seltzer are also available, as well as a host of yard games.

"I saw from afar last season how a great atmosphere can impact games at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium," Duke head coach Manny Diaz explained.

"This year, we wanted to take our gameday experience to a new level.

"With the addition of the Devils Deck, fans get access to an exclusive fun tailgating atmosphere, while still being inside the stadium to watch the game."

"This is so cool. Have to watch a game here!" replied one fan on X.

"That’s gonna be awesome! Hopefully USF comes out with more details of ours soon," said another.

"Duke football stock on the rise >>>," added a third.

"I really hate what sports stadiums are becoming. Making going to games being about everything else besides the actual game on the field," countered a fourth.

"Professional and college teams are adjusting to the fact that younger fans need more at venues to keep their interest," argued a fifth.

"It attracts that Gen Z or Millennial fan who wants to come, wants to socialize, wants to engage, wants to watch the football game, but also talks to their friends, wants to kind of move around," said Dr. Michael Edwards, an Associate Professor of Sport Management at NC State, per ABC11.

Passes for the new deck begin at $45 per person.

Students at Duke can enjoy a $10 discount to bag $35 tickets, with group bookings also available.

College football's 2024 shake-up

Oklahoma and Texas switching from the Big 12 to the SEC is one of the biggest changes to college football in recent times.

And that has set off a chain reaction which has left the Pac-12 conference decimated.

The Pac-12 has lost 10 of its 12 members and is down to just Oregon State and Washington State.

Four of those teams are headed for the Big 12 - Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah.

Another four are going to the Big 10 - Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington.

And the other two teams, California and Stanford, will join the ACC conference.

No teams have left the SEC, Big Ten or ACC.

A valid game ticket is required in addition to the Devils Deck pass.

The renovations will decrease the official seating capacity from 40,004 to 35,018, per Go Duke.

Work is expected to complete before the Blue Devils season opener against Elon on Friday, August 30.

Duke opened their pre-season camp on Tuesday at the Brooks Practice Facility in Durham, NC.
