THE Kansas City Chiefs are celebrating their star defensive player being chosen as one of the best in the league.
Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones was named the No. 1 DT in the new Madden video game.

Jones was rated as a 97 overall player in Madden NFL 25, the highest rated defensive tackle in the game, and the Chiefs commemorated the selection with a post on X.
"Highest-rated DT in the league. That’s our CEO," the Chiefs wrote.
Jones had a stellar season in 2023, posting 10.5 sacks and 29 quarterback hits.
He was named to the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro first team after the season.

Jones was handed a massive contract extension in the offseason after back-to-back Super Bowl wins with the Chiefs.
He signed a five-year, $158.75 million deal with $101 million guaranteed.
Jones was the highest rated DT by a good margin, with Dexter Lawrence of the New York Giants and Quinnen Williams of the New York Jets following next.

Madden is slowly releasing its player ratings for the newest edition of the game, with wide receiver ratings recently being announced.
Former Chief and current Miami Dolphin Tyreek Hill was given the nod as the top wide receiver with a 99 overall rating.
Justin Jefferson was close behind Hill with a 98 overall rating.
