ALL is fair in love and wrestling, right? Well, let's hope so because we're heading for a big clash on Saturday.

All Elite Wrestling have known about this weekend's clash between its Collision show and the World Wrestling Entertainment premium Summerslam for some time.

And AEW made what seemed to be a prudent move, switching Collision from its usual 8pm ET slot to 5pm.

That seemed to make sense for both sides. But WWE have upped the stakes again.

WWE have announced that SummerSlam's pre-show will now be three hours long, with a 4pm ET start time.

We guess that could be a coincidence. But then we also believe in the tooth fairy.

Typically, the pre-show has been two hours long for big WWE shows, not three.

But grabbing viewers early on is crucial and it's possible that for many people, catching the big WWE show will mean sticking with it all evening.

The evidence says Collision will fare better when not up against WWE.

The last two Collision episodes to go head to head against WWE had 300,000 and 306,000 viewers, while the show avoiding WrestleMania saw 463,000 tune in, according to Fightful.

Fans have been quick to have their say to the pre-show news on X, the site formerly known as Twitter.

"This is no accident," one fan said.

"Do we really need three hours building up to the show ha?" another fan said.

"We'll be there, can't wait for it," a third fan said.

"This is a sneak move," a fourth fan said.

The Miz will also be the host of SummerSlam this weekend, with the show taking place in his home town of Cleveland, Ohio.

Sports fans will know the venue all too well, as its the Cleveland Browns Stadium, which typically hosts NFL games.
