Kay Adams asked Rodgers about these rumors during a special episode live from the Jets' training facility.

However, Rodgers was quick to shut down the rumors, saying it wasn't a realistic conversation.

"It's just silly. It's a silly question," Rodgers said.

"Of course, I love Davante. I'd love to play with Davante again, but it might be in the 2028 Olympics if they let some of the old guys play.

"We'll see. I want him to have great success, and I love him. We keep in contact."

Rodgers shared that he and Adams don't even talk about football when they talk.

The two love to golf and spend a lot of time on the course together when they can.

"Mostly we talk about golf, because he's a fanatic about golf," Rodgers said.

"But listen, Davante is over there [Las Vegas], if things in some alternate universe came to fruition, whatever.

"I love Davante, and any chance to play with him, if we're playing ping pong... or some other game, I just love spending time with him."

Adams didn't think her question was silly, and took to social media to share that she thinks Rodgers is dodging the question.

"I'm not buying it," she tweeted.

Rodgers and Adams were an elite combo when they played together, continually topping 1,000 yards as a duo.

They compiled 8,121 yards in eight years as teammates and linked up for 73 touchdowns.

In their best season, Adams went for 1,374 yards and 18 touchdowns with Rodgers throwing him the ball.

Adams has played for the Las Vegas Raiders for the last two years, putting up big numbers, but staying out of playoff contention.

In two years he already has 2,660 yards and 22 touchdowns, but no time in the playoffs.

Rodgers has yet to touch the field as a Jet, but if he puts together a good season he could convince the Jets to swing a trade for his favorite teammate.
