KANSAS City Chiefs fans are delighted with rookie receiver Xavier Worthy's impact so far.

The Chiefs selected the wideout 28th overall in this year's NFL Draft after he broke the combine 40-yard dash record.

Worthy, 21, has already developed a rapport with his superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

A viral video showed Mahomes, 28, hitting his new weapon with a massive heave down the field last week.

And the Chiefs released a new clip of Worthy connecting on another deep target from the three-time Super Bowl champ yesterday.

"Update: he's still fast," the footage was captioned.

Fans think they are in for a treat when the season gets going next month.

"This offense is going to be a PROBLEM for the league," posted one.

"Man, I can't wait for the start of the season! Go Chiefs," added another.

"I'm glad he's fast but I'm ecstatic that he just catches the ball," a third commented.

"Thanks Buffalo," wrote a fourth in reference to the Bills trading the 28th pick to Kansas City.

Former first-round draft pick Marquise "Hollywood" Brown has also been brought in on a one-year deal.

Brown and Worthy join second-year wideout Rashee Rice, who set an NFL record in postseason receptions from a rookie with 26.

That gives Mahomes a far better receiver room than he has enjoyed since Tyreek Hill joined the Miami Dolphins in 2022.

During a recent press conference, Mahomes praised the new-look group.

"What impressed me so much about Hollywood is everybody told me he was a fast guy but nobody told me how much he can actually do on the football field. And you can see it," he said.

"I mean he can run those over the middle routes. He can run really good routes and he can run deep, as well as the other receivers, you can just see the speed that we have and how it's opening up everybody.

"And then even seeing Rashee and how he's kind of taken that next step.

"I mean it's a great group so I'm excited for their future because I mean the sky is the limit."

Kansas City may not have the tallest wideout corps, but the 6ft 5inch four-time All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce adds plenty of size.

Entering his 12th NFL season, Kelce had over 1,000 receiving yards in seven consecutive seasons before 2023, when he finished with 984 after 15 games.

The Chiefs also have plenty of firepower on the ground, with Isiah Pacheco leading the way.

Three and out

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes are expecting their third child, the power couple announced.

But Chiefs quarterback Mahomes insisted there won't be any more.

"I'm done, I'll say that,' he told reporters at Chiefs training camp with a smile.

"I always said three [children] and I'm done. No, it's awesome. I always wanted to have kids young.

"I got to grow up in the locker room. I think I've talked about it before, and it made such an impact in my life.

"And so, I wanted to have kids young and we're having a third kid now to join our family."
