Taylor Swift must perform Super Bowl halftime show next year, Fox NFL co-stars Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson urge
Swift has previously turned down the opportunity to perform at a Super Bowl
ERIN Andrews and Charissa Thompson have made their case for Taylor Swift to perform at Super Bowl LIX.
With Fox set to broadcast the upcoming Super Bowl from New Orleans, Andrews and Thompson were all too keen to discuss a Swift halftime show with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

The duo recently attended the Fox NFL and college football seminar, where they bumped into Goodell.
As big Swifties themselves and friends of her partner and Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, Andrews and Thompson seized the opportunity to 'corner' Goodell and make the case for a Taylor halftime show.
"Charissa and I did the best we could about delivering our opening and closing remarks about why the NFL has to have, this year, Taylor Swift as their Super Bowl halftime show," Andrews said on their Calm Down podcast.
Thompson admitted that part of their desire to see Taylor perform is because of their love for the pop star, along with the fact that they will be covering the game.

She then looked at "the Chads and dads that didn't want [Taylor] to be shown on television" throughout last season.
"But, I don't know, maybe bringing in not only the revenue but also the new audience of young women or girls and boys that didn't watch but love her," Thompson added.
"But anyways, she's never done it and there's no bigger star in the world.
"Does she need to do that? No, of course, she doesn't need to do it.

"You have done it all, but don't you want to also say that you have performed at a Super Bowl halftime?"
Thompson pointed out that adding an extra incentive for Taylor would allow the Chiefs to make history if they reached the Super Bowl.
"If you have it your way, and the Kansas City Chiefs have it their way, it'll be at your boyfriend's game where they'll look to threepeat for the first time ever in the history of the league so it would be a culmination of things that have never been done before," she explained.
While Andrews and Thompson may have been excited by the prospect of a Taylor halftime show, their fans were less optimistic on X.

"No! No! No! She will be just finishing her ginormous tour. She needs to [sleep]," a second commented.
"She doesn't need that. She turned them down several times," added a third.
A fourth bluntly responded, "She’s not doing it. Give the girl a break."
Ahead of the Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII triumph in Las Vegas in February, the NFL made a last-minute push to land Swift for the halftime show.
However, while she did attend the game, taking a last-minute flight back from the Japanese leg of her tour to make it in time, her focus was on enjoying the moment.
After the Super Bowl, The U.S. Sun exclusively reported that, according to an external business consultant for the NFL, some within the league were extremely keen to land Swift for LIX.
"The ads could reach a cost of $8.5 million each, an increase of $1 million, or more," the source said.

"This year, it has been estimated that her presence helped generate a lot of money, estimated between $700-750 million.
"If she is the main artist of next year's halftime show, it's expected to generate more than $1.3-1.5 billion."
