Brady retired from the NFL after 23 seasons last February.

He won six of his titles with the New England Patriots and has previously teased a potential return to football.

Brady is heading into a new career as a Fox Sports analyst and has appeared to shelve any chance of a U-turn from his retirement.

But he showed he's still in football-ready shape with a chiseled topless birthday selfie during the Mediterranean getaway.

Brady rocked sunglasses and a small chain as he posed on the water ahead of his 47th birthday.

"Birthday selfie, new tradition!" he told his 14 million Instagram followers.

Brady uploaded a series of snaps celebrating his special day with his children Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11.

Vivian helped her dad blow out the candle on his cake as Brady posted a selection of memories from the last year.

"The lost files from 46!" he wrote.

"What a special year with these beautiful kids, the best family and friends anyone could ask for, and all of you!

‘Tom Brady is going to absolutely dominate’ claims Rob Gronkowski as Fox analyst gives advice ahead of NFL debut

"Here’s to making 47 our best year yet."

"Also, you get to post a selfie on your birthday, everyone chill out," he added.

"Happy Birthday to the GOAT," replied one fan to the snaps.

"Happy Birthday Tom!! Have an amazing day and an awesome year!! And post as many selfies as you want to!" laughed a second.

The Tom Brady domino effect

Tom Brady will take his seat in Fox's top NFL announce team alongside Kevin Burkhardt.

And his arrival at the network has set off a domino effect with every other announcer moving down one spot.

That means Fox's NFL coverage in 2024 will feature entirely new broadcast pairings.

Greg Olsen, who previously worked alongside Burkhardt, will now be part of the No. 2 announce team with Joe Davis.

The other Fox pairings for 2024 are:

  • Adam Amin-Mark Sanchez
  • Kenny Albert-Jon Vilma
  • Kevin Kugler-Daryl Johnston
  • Chris Myers-Mark Schlereth

"Tom thirst trappin' in his mid-forties, love to see it," joked a third.

"You just go ahead and post all the selfies you’d like. We all thank you," added a fourth.

Brady jetted to Paris on Sunday to watch Novak Djokovic face Carlos Alcaraz for the Olympic men's tennis title.

The NFL icon posted a picture from the stands at Roland Garros as he continues to enjoy a whirlwind summer.
