According to a well-placed source, the basketball stars shelled out $70,000 for a private space so they could celebrate their big moment with friends, family and their entourages.

While they were there, the group dined on the finest French food including steak frites, snails and French onion soup.

They also enjoyed sumptuous desserts such as crême brulée, macarons, mille-feuilles, and chocolate soufflé.

LeBron and Co. used the occasion to smoke luxury Cohiba Spectre Limited Edition 2022 Montecristo cigars.

Five boxes of 10 cigars were ordered at a cost of $6,500.

And the Team USA group drank dozens of bottles of the finest champagne.

The order included 50 bottles of Louis Roederer: Brut Premier at a total of $18,750.

Twenty bottles of Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2010 were also quaffed, which totaled $6,400.

In addition, 15 bottles of 2010 Dom Perignon Luminous Blanc – which cost an eye-watering $1,160 each – were also delivered to the party.

The champagne is described as "full-bodied and grows on the palate, with intensity and maturity. Goes on for a long time. This is nicely framed and focused. One for the cellar!"

"They were preparing for this party for a bit as they were only targeting the gold medal," says a person who worked on Team USA private events during the Olympics.

"There were many requests for champagne, and they got some of the best ones that they can provide at L’Avenue, one of the favorite places of LeBron and the rest of the team during their time in Paris.

"We had the stock ready since the middle of last week, and we had a request for the cigars LeBron and Stephen Curry like to celebrate, so we got them the Montecristo cigars.

"It was a very nice party. There were also a lot of friends of theirs who joined to celebrate.

"They had a fantastic time, as the last people left when the sun was rising in the morning!"

LeBron and Curry were seen making the most of the celebrations, including the Golden State Warriors icon puffing on a cigar in the streets of Paris.

The party had something of a sour note, though, after LeBron received criticism for snubbing a young fan outside of the party venue.

The Los Angeles Lakers star was swarmed with paparazzi following his Olympic win, and a kid was among those photographers looking to get a picture.

LeBron didn't give the kid any attention though, brushing him off with a hand up as he approached.

"Stop, stop, stop," he told the fan.

"Don't do that."

The young fan appeared to apologize to LeBron after approaching, but looked shocked by the denial from his idol.

After LeBron walked through, it appeared that someone with him pushed the kid out of the way as well.

NBA fans couldn't believe LeBron's actions and were quick to shame him on social media following the Olympics.
