TEAM USA basketball won gold at the Paris Olympics in a tough tournament that almost saw them get upset.

Even though their battle is over, there is still some fighting going on in the aftermath back home.

Charles Barkley wasn't happy with Team USA's performance, even though they won gold.

They were nearly upset by Serbia in the semi-finals, and Barkley thought that was unacceptable for a team of Team USA's caliber.

Kendrick Perkins didn't agree with Barkley's take and blasted him for it.

Barkley was made aware of this and quickly ended the beef by destroying Perkins.

"First of all, listen, don't bring up a guy who averaged five points a game," Barkley said.

"I'm not gonna stoop to his level. You average five points a game, shut the hell up!"

Despite Perkins winning one championship versus Barkley's zero, Barkley undeniably had a better NBA career.

Barkley averaged 22.1 points per game versus Perkins' 5.4.

He also averaged more rebounds and assists per game than Perkins did.

In fact, Barkley leads Perkins in almost every statistical category except for blocks per game, in which Perkins has .4 more.

Barkley also made 11 All-NBA teams, 11 All-Star teams, and was named MVP in the 1992-93 season.

Of course, Barkley also made the Hall of Fame, an accolade Perkins never received.

NBA fans appeared to take Barkley's side in the beef as well, and flamed Perkins on social media.

"Kendrick Perkins is in no position to criticize any player for their performance. He was a bonified scrub," one fan said.

What the new TV deal means for the NBA?

By The U.S. Sun's Assistant Sports Editor Damian Burchardt.

THE new TV rights deal is promising to be a humongous win for NBA players.

The league is set to more than double the revenue coming from its media partners, pocketing about $6.9 billion per year, which will inevitably lead to a huge salary cap spike in 2025-26.

That is going to send the value of player contracts skyrocketing.

Projected figures suggest we might see the first $100 million-per-year deal being signed soon.

Currently, Boston Celtics All-Star Jayson Tatum is projected to earn the highest single-season salary in NBA history, collecting $71.5 million in 2029-30.

If TNT Sports successfully matches one of the offers to maintain its decades-long partnership with the league, hoops fans will be on the winning side too.

The network's flagship, Inside the NBA, is a one-of-a-kind sports entertainment show, as evidenced by ESPN's ongoing failure to come up with its own version of the program in recent years.

The NBA wouldn't be the same without Kenny and Ernie trying to make sense of Shaq and Chuck's never-ending bickering every Tuesday night.

"If I’m Perk, I’m hanging it up. No coming back from that," another fan said.

"Charles wasn't wrong here," a third fan said.

"Omg I'm with Barkley ; Perkins was an awful player. Sat the bench most of the time lol," a fourth fan said.

"Seeing this confirms I’m on the right side of this beef," a fifth fan said.
