CRUEL SUMMER

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s intimate video call details revealed as pair ‘spend hours talking while apart’

Meanwhile, Kelce recently made his preseason debut

KANSAS City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are reportedly counting down the days until they reunite with the pop star finishing the European leg of her Eras Tour.

In the meantime, the lovebirds are said to have been organizing late-night Zoom dates to spend some time together while they are thousands of miles apart.

Travis, 34, and Taylor, also 34, hop on a call and talk for several hours several nights each week, according to Life and Style.

The couple are on different time zones with Swift currently in London, UK, which is six hours ahead of Kansas City, Missouri.

"But Travis is fitting his schedule around hers by going to bed super early after training camp and filming [his New Heights podcast]," a source told the magazine.

Kelce is understood to go out and party occasionally now that he's back in training ahead of the 2024 NFL season's kick-off on September 5.

Still, the tight end's date nights with Taylor are his "highlights of the week," and he looks forward to them a great deal, according to the insider.

"She’s up super late at night, and he’s so dead tired when he gets home, that it actually works out," the insider said.

"They set up the Zoom and snuggle into bed to talk and catch up on everything that happened in their day.

"They’ll eat dinner together on the video call and treat it like a date."

The source added, "They’ll even watch movies together and then fall asleep with it going all night, so they can wake up together.

"It’s pretty over-the-top and not something he’d ever have agreed to in the past, but they’re so in love that having to be apart is painful."

Travis has already made his preseason debut, getting a few snaps in last week's 26-13 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The nine-time Pro Bowler made one catch for seven yards.

He also likely won't see much action in the two next warm-up games with the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears.

That's because Chiefs head coach Andy Reid wants to keep stars like Kelce and Patrick Mahomes healthy.

"As far as the play time goes, the ones will take a half and then we'll kind of fill in after that and just kind of see how the rest of that goes for the third and fourth quarters," Reid recently said.

Despite the loss, the Chiefs head coach is satisfied with how training camp is going.

"I think you've been able to see the growth," Reid said.

"We've added a ton in the last few days up here. The guys have digested it and been able to spit it back - retain it.

"That has been a positive. And then maybe most of all getting yourself in football shape, kind of re-amping up to our first game.
