He has been a bit-part player in recent years though, and rarely lands victories as Vince McMahon puts others ahead of him.

And Sin Cara has revealed on Twitter he has asked his deal be ripped up to spend more time with his family and friends.

The 42-year-old also said he had been considering the move for a while before making it official.

It is not known whether the WWE have accepted his plea, but it is likely they will say no.

The company are reluctant to let their employees leave so they do not join bitter rival All Elite Wrestling.

A number of stars have requested to be let go in recent months including Mike Kanellis and Luke Harper.
