Nate Diaz vows to help fan who ‘lost rent money betting on UFC star to beat Jorge Masvidal’

NATE DIAZ has promised to help a fan get back on his feet after he was left out of pocket by the UFC star's loss to Jorge Masvidal.

Diaz's BMF title bout with Masvidal ended in controversy as doctors opted to stop the clash in the fourth round after Diaz suffered a deep cut early on.

The night proved to be just as painful for one fan of Diaz's as their confidence in the 34-year-old resulted in a misplaced bet and loss of much-needed rent money.

Diaz, though, has vowed to help the supporter get back on his feet and earned praise across social media in the process.

Replying to a post on Diaz's Instagram account the fan said: "Nate I lost my rent money betting on you now I'm sleeping in my car till I can come up with my half."

Diaz was quick to spot the post and suggest he will do what he can to help, sparking a slew of positive responses from his followers.

One wrote: "@natediaz209 is the goat", while another replied by telling the disappointed punter he had "bet on the right dude" followed by saying "the biggest problem you've got is your room-mate sounds like a clown and doesn't deserve to live with you."

Others were quick to point out that Diaz's behaviour was that of a champion with one saying "Nate the real BMF" and another "BMF worthy."

While most of Diaz's 4 million followers praised his actions, some saw it as a chance to cash in on a refund of their own.

One such response said: "I did (bet on Diaz) too bro and lost racks can I get a refund too?" and a tweet read "Absolutely amazing, but how stupid are you for betting rent money?"

One particularly harsh comment simply read "make him lose his car as well."

Diaz claimed in the wake of his loss to Masvidal that he may not fight again after a lengthy career which has included the scalp of Conor McGregor.

The loss in the BMF title fight, which stands for the "Baddest Motherf***** in the Game", came in bloody fashion but Diaz was ultimately frustrated by the early stoppage.

It is then, perhaps, little surprise that he has since gone on record to suggest he will go back on his retirement plans and will "fight forever."
