ATHLETICS star Alica Schmidt wowed her fans with some glamourous beach snaps from a holiday in Bali.

The German runner, 23, posted a throwback photo from a previous trip to Bali ahead of starting her training camp.

Schmidt's Instagram stories over the past 24 hours are full of clips showing her on the track and in the gym trying to build her speed.

She is keen to improve after her heartbreak of missing out on Germany's final women's 4x400m relay team for the Tokyo Olympics.

And Schmidt was excited to be back in training ahead of the start of the racing season.

Sharing a stunning bikini picture on Instagram from her days in Bali, Schmidt captioned the post: "Can‘t wait to be back in the sun tomorrow 🌞 #trainingcamp #gettingready."

Schmidt is now soaking up the sun once again in a training camp in Tenerife.
