Novak Djokovic will be desperate to successfully defend his crown having fell short at the quarter-final stage during the French Open.

But there will most certainly be a new women's singles title holder this year as 2021 winner Ash Barty retired from the sport three months ago.

However, the stage is set up for Serena Williams to make a sensational return back to the top having been off the court competitively for over 12 months.

When is Wimbledon 2022?

Wimbledon got underway on Monday, June 27 and will conclude on Sunday, July 10.
