Which team was Juan Soto traded to?

After playing with the Washington Nationals since 2015, the professional outfielder was traded to the San Diego Padres.

However, Juan only remained with the team for 17 months before news broke that he would be playing for the New York Yankees.

Speaking on the trade, Padres general manager A.J. Preller said: "It's very difficult to make a deal where you're trading a player the caliber of Juan Soto.

"But if we did that, we wanted to make sure we shored up a bunch of needs. We were able to get some depth with quality."

The outfielder first signed on with the Nationals as a free agent in 2015.

In May 2018, the pro-baseballer made his official MLB debut with the aforementioned team.

With Juan's assistance, the Nationals took home the 2019 World Series championship.

Who else was traded to the New York Yankees?

The New York Yankees acquired Juan in a seven-player trade.

In this trade, the Yankees also received center fielder Trent Grisham.

Trent made his debut in the MLB in 2019 with the Milwaukee Brewers after training with them since 2015.

However, the Texas native was traded to the San Diego Padres.

With the Padres, Trent won two Gold Glove Awards which "honors the best defenders at each position in each league," according to MLB.com.

In addition to the newly acquired former Padres' players, the Yankees welcomed Boston Red Sox's Alex Verdugo on Tuesday, November 5, 2023.
