THE UNDERTAKER was widely hailed for his win over AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in what could be his final ever match at the Showcase of the Immortals.

The WWE legend put on a stunning show as he destroyed his rival in the first-ever Boneyard Match, which took place in an abandoned cemetery.

The Phenom entered the bout on his iconic motorbike in a return to the nostalgic American Badass gimmick he made famous in the early 2000s.

And Taker - real name Mark Calaway - rolled back the years with an incredible performance at the 'Show of Shows' - despite being aged 55.

WWE fans even joked that the Deadman deserved an Oscar in the Hollywood-esque bout which was filled with pre-recorded special effects and stunning moves.

According to WhatCulture, the Boneyard match was filmed on location in Florida, but it was well away from the rest of the wrestlers competing at the Performance Center in Orlando.

Vince McMahon's company reportedly contracted an outside production unit to custom-build the set that took five whole days to make.

The Undertaker and AJ's epic war was then filmed over EIGHT hours from 9pm on Wednesday 25 March to 5am on Thursday March 26.

WWE legends Triple H and Michael Hayes, who had deliberately hired locals in the Orange County community, had encouraged the creative dialogue throughout the brawl that wasn't in the initial script.

It was also said to have been Taker's idea to have AJ's hand poking up from the dirt after he'd been buried to close out the match.

The symbolic image was reminiscent of the Texan's own desperate bid for survival back at In Your House: Buried Alive in October 1996.

This year's WrestleMania was filmed behind closed doors and at the WWE Performance Center due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It was due to be hosted in Tampa Bay, Florida, in front of a packed-out 70,000-plus crowd, but was axed last month.

Earlier last night, Braun Strowman won the Universal Championship off Goldberg and Kevin Owens beat Seth Rollins.
