McIntyre fulfilled his destiny to become WWE champion at Wrestlemania 36

Ayr-born McIntyre made history just weeks ago at WrestleMania 36 by defeating Brock Lesnar for the belt.

That cemented his place in the record books as the first-ever Brit to hold the biggest championship in professional wrestling.

Within 20 minutes of overcoming the former UFC king on the Grandest Stage of All, he then successfully defended the title against the Big Show.

And now he will face another huge challenge to hold onto it when he battles former champ Rollins.

McIntyre vowed to take on all comers after climbing to the top of the mountain, even offering to go one-on-one with boxing’s WBC heavyweight title holder Tyson Fury.

And he continued to live up to that promise yesterday after he was the victim of a surprise attack at the hands of Rollins last week.

He kicked off Raw by laying down the challenge to the ex-Shield member before dismantling Andrade after the Mexican interrupted him.

The Architect responded to say the fight is on - setting up the dream bout in just over a fortnight.

But Rollins received a reminder of the task ahead in Raw’s main event as McIntyre smashed through Angel Garza to continue his hot-streak.
