‘All because she got too greedy’ – Man Utd fans bizarrely thank Adrien Rabiot’s MUM during Carabao Cup final
MANCHESTER UNITED fans sang the praises of Adrien Rabiot's mum after Casemiro scored in the Carabao Cup final.
The former Real Madrid star has been key to United's transformation this season and has even contributed five goals.
He headed in United's opener against Newcastle at Wembley which sparked a discussion about how important he is amongst the Red Devils fanbase.
And some noted that Casemiro might not even be at the club if United had completed the signing of Rabiot.
United were close to sealing a move for the Frenchman but the deal fell through because Rabiot's mother and agent Veronique demanded too high a salary.
Casemiro was signed instead and his goal in the Carabao Cup final led fans to jokingly thank Veronique.
One supporter said: "All because Rabiot’s mum got greedy too loool."
Another added: "Rabiot's mum. Our hero."
And a third wrote: "Another thankyou for Rabiot's mother, without you we wouldn't have Casemiro."
Another commented: "Man of the match Rabiot's mum."

United fans also rushed to thank Rabiot's mum and demanded a statue of her be built after Casemiro scored twice against Reading.
Casemiro has made a big impact at Old Trafford this season with Paul Scholes comparing him to club legend Roy Keane.
He said of the Brazilian: "People say he's a defensive midfielder, but I don't see that. He's as close to Roy Keane as I've seen."
