WWE stars are set to attempt to recreate one of the wrestling company's most dangerous stunts this weekend at the Money In The Bank event.

Vince McMahon famously capitalised on the success of the Attitude Era in the late 1990s by purchasing a commercial slot during Super Bowl 33 to promote its programming.

The iconic advert featured WWE's top superstars walking around the company's Titan Towers headquarters while chaos ensued around them.

Some of wrestling's most famous names including The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Kane, The Undertaker, Chyna and Mankind were involved in filming.

But the spot is best remembered for WWE chief McMahon's cameo at the end which saw a stuntman fling himself out of a high window in the background.

A video released in 2018 showed how the advert was filmed with exploding windows and a large crash mat to save the performers fall.

Near two decades later, WWE are planning an even more ambitious stunt for it's behind-closed-doors MITB event this weekend.

This year's event is taking place at Titan Towers, WWE's seven-storey, 110,000 sq ft headquarters building in Stamford, Connecticut.

The briefcase will be on the roof of WWE's HQ and superstars will have to battle their way to the top of the building to grab the prestigious contract.

CLIMB THE LADDER

AJ Styles, who will be taking part in the unique ladder match for the first time, has already teased an upcoming stunt that will see at least one wrestler take an almighty dive.

The Phenomenal One was making his return to RAW for the first time since his Boneyard defeat to the Undertaker at WrestleMania 36.

And during his promo, Styles claimed he will do anything to win the MITB contract...even if that means throwing someone off of Titan Towers.

The former WWE champion will be up against Daniel Bryan, Aleister Black, Rey Mysterio, King Corbin and Otis.

But to add to Sunday's impending carnage, the six-women MITB ladder match will also be going on at the same time.

That contest features Asuka, Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, Dana Brooke, Lacey Evans and Carmella.

For the victors of the matches, as is tradition inside the briefcase is a contract for a world title match that can be cashed in at any time over the next 12 MONTHS.

Elsewhere, Braun Strowman defends his Universal title against Bray Wyatt, while Drew McIntyre lays his WWE Championship on the line against Seth Rollins.

The SmackDown Women's champ Bayley will defend against Tamina.

This year's Money In The Bank PPV was originally set to occur from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, before all events in the arena were cancelled because of the global coronavirus pandemic.
