JEFF HARDY made a winning return to WWE pay-per-view after over a year out by defeating Cesaro at Money In The Bank.

The 42-year-old has recently bared all in a number of interviews discussing his addiction to painkillers on recent episodes of SmackDown.

Those segments with the former world champion, who was pulled over in October and arrested for driving under the influence, seemed to have irked Sheamus.

And it was somewhat fitting that The Charismatic Enigma stepped back into the ring on PPV against the Irishman’s ex-partner Cesaro.

The daredevil high-flier’s offense was neutralised earlier on as he was slammed into the barricade at ringside.

He continued to be overpowered until the big fan favourite rallied, eventually knocking Cesaro off the top rope and hitting a Whisper in the Wind for a close fall.

Hardy then scored a two-count after a Twist of Fate before his opponent fought back with a gutwrench suplex from the top rope.

Cesaro came back with a vicious clothesline.

But it would be Hardy who would emerge triumphant.

The veteran took flight once again to put Cesaro away with a Swanton Bomb to make his comeback a successful one.
