WWE power couple Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins have named LONDON and DUBLIN as two "perfect" cities to host WrestleMania.

Six-time WWE champion Lynch, 36, and reigning World Heavyweight Champion Rollins, 37, have been together since 2019 and welcomed their first child together, Roux, in 2020.

They have since married and established themselves as two of the biggest stars in wrestling.

On Saturday, the pair will appear on the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event at the O2 Arena in London.

It is the first WWE PPV show in the capital for 21 years - since Insurrextion back in 2002.

And it increases the momentum UK wrestling seems to be building, 10 months after the WWE's first PPV in Britain for nearly two decades.

That came in the form of Clash at the Castle which took place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff last September and featured boxing world champion Tyson Fury.

Rollins, real name Colby Daniel Lopez, beat Matt Riddle on that show in front of a stoked Welsh crowd.

But Lynch, real name Rebecca Quin Lopez, missed the huge event as she was recovering from injury.

And for that reason, the Irish superstar described Clash at the Castle as "very, very hard to watch".

But the Limerick-born entertainer is now finally set to appear on a UK PPV show as she prepares to take on Zelina Vega, Zoey Stark, Bayley, Iyo Sky and Trish Stratus in one of two Money in Bank ladder matches on the card.

Speaking about the event, she said: "It's huge and I can speak from starting off here.

"At 15 years old I was coming over here to do wrestling camps in Sittingbourne in Kent, landing in London, landing in Heathrow where we did just a few hours ago. And taking the train but in very different circumstances.

"So to be here 21 years later at a pay-per-view for WWE and competing in the women's Money in the Bank ladder match, possibly walking away with the prize second only to the biggest prize of them all which is the championship. But you have it at your fingertips.

"It's huge. It means so much to me, especially having missed the Clash of the Castle."

Meanwhile, husband Rollins will defend his belt against Finn Balor this weekend.

And he has high expectations when it comes to the energy of the London crowd.

He added: "It's huge, it's fantastic for us. Obviously, London is a hotbed for us. Any time we come over here and do Raw or Smackdown from the O2 it's special.

"The live events - even if they're non-televised are always special, the crowds are on another level.

"I expect Saturday to be like molten level of excitement.

"It's been a long time since we've done a pay-per-view here in London and it's going to be exciting.

"The matches speak for themselves and I predict it's going to be one for the ages. It's going to be one of the greatest Money in the Banks, let alone one of the greatest pay-per-views of all-time."

The WWE regularly come over to the UK - with live events last staged two months ago in Birmingham, Manchester and Belfast.

But the company's premium event each year, WrestleMania, which debuted in 1985, is still yet to be staged outside of the US and Canada.

Britain would be one of the leading candidates to host the blockbuster show if it was to be taken out of North America.

And given it has become a two-day event since the Covid pandemic, Lynch and Rollins see no reason why it couldn't be staged in London AND Lynch's home capital, Dublin.

Rollins said: "Look at what we've been doing with these PLEs [Premium Live Events] over the past year, there's been a lot of international ones and I think if there's one international location that would be perfect for WrestleMania…"

Lynch then interrupted to add: "It would be Dublin. But if there was a second one then it would be London."

Rollins then finished by offering up an incredible idea, saying: "It's two nights now, WrestleMania, we could double up. Why not?"
