WWE star Timothy Thatcher left bloodied mess as TEETH knocked out in brutal cage fight with Matt Riddle on NXT
TIMOTHY THATCHER had his two front teeth kicked out and was left a bloody mess despite beating former UFC star Matt Riddle in a brutal WWE cage match.
Fans were left horrified after the brutal clash, labelled the Fight Pit, on this week’s edition of NXT.
Thatcher, 37, debuted several weeks again as Riddle’s partner to replace Pete Dunne, who was unable to defend the NXT Tag Team Titles due to travel restrictions placed due to the coronavirus.
The newly-formed pair struggled to re-create the chemistry and that resulted in them dropping the belts to Imperimium and leading to a furious fall-out.
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, who was released by WWE last month, was called back to the ring to be the special guest referee for the showdown.
And the brutality of the match was almost instant as Thatcher lost his teeth courtesy of a kick from his 34-year-old.
But despite his early setback, Thatcher showed exactly why WWE signed him as he came away with the ultimate bragging rights.
After taking a hit from Riddle, he popped up and proceeded to lock his opponent in a rear-naked chokehold.
Ex-cage fighter Riddle refused to tap out but soon passed out, forcing the ref to call for the bell and declaring Thatcher the winner.
Fans were left shocked at the bloody scenes they witnessed but took to social media to praise the epic match as one of the best in years.
