Michael Strahan tells Terry Bradshaw ‘if you were my lawyer, I’m going to jail’ live on FOX NFL Sunday

TERRY Bradshaw is a big fan of Christian McCaffrey – as he showed while making a case for the San Francisco 49ers running back to win the NFL MVP on Fox NFL Sunday.

Bradshaw likened the NFL star's MVP candidacy to an easy court case – but Michael Strahan wasn't convinced of his co-star's lawyer aspirations.

Host Curt Menefee said that although the MVP award has gone to quarterbacks since Adrian Peterson's win in 2012, McCaffrey has thrown his hat in the ring with his 2023 performance.

"Yeah, If I were defending him in a court of law, I would win easily," Bradshaw joked.

Strahan joined in the Pittsburgh Steelers icon's bit, telling him that he looked like a lawyer.

Bradshaw thanked the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year and then explained why the 49ers running back deserved the award.

"Christian McCaffrey has 293 touches this year. He has 17 touchdowns, on a pace for 22," he said.

"No one since Marshall Faulk has had this kind of numbers from the running back position.

"He also doesn't fumble the football. Only two fumbles out of 293 touches. The 49ers are 19-3 with him as a starter.

"He was said not to be able to run against the tackles – he runs in between tackles. He was said not to be fast enough – he is faster than anybody out there playing the running back position.

"He is the total thing and the entire offense for San Francisco runs through McCaffrey.

"They knew when they brought him in from Carolina that he would be a difference maker – and he certainly has been."

Strahan then teased Bradshaw about his monologue.

"If you were my lawyer, I'm going to jail," the New York Giants legend said before hugging his Fox NFL Sunday co-star.

As the two laughed, Bradshaw elbowed Strahan to make the segment even more hilarious.

Strahan joined Rob Gronkowski in poking fun at the 75-year-old with the retired NFL tight end joking about his fellow analyst's math skills earlier on the show.
