Spurs opened their stadium in April this year with a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace.

62,062 supporters flocked to the new arena to watch the Spurs in action.

And an extra 148 seats were added in August, taking the attendance to 62,214.

However, 62,303 fans can now enjoy watching Jose Mourinho’s men battle for a top four finish.

A statement from Tottenham revealed: “We can confirm that Haringey Council has approved our application to increase the official capacity of our stadium to 62,303.

“Supporters who have registered their interest will now be contacted in waiting list order with the offer of a Season Ticket.”

The new seats means Spurs are well ahead of rivals Arsenal and their capacity at the Emirates, which holds 60,260.

One player who could soon be appearing at Tottenham’s super arena is Wolves’ Adama Traore.

The winger was fantastic in his team’s 2-1 defeat to the Londoners at the weekend.

And Spurs fans have urged Mourinho to splash out on the versatile midfielder.
