TEEMU PUKKI is becoming a nightmare for Premier League defenders - and Malaysian commentators.

That is because his surname translates as "c**t" in the Asian country.

TV sports channel Stadium Astro are struggling to work a way around avoiding the expletive.

But plenty of Malaysians are fascinated with the Norwich ace's name, meaning it trends every week.

Former Premier League striker Stan Collymore has been working as a pundit in the Far East and shared an anecdote about a recent team meeting.

He tweeted: "So, I'm in Kuala Lumpur having a production meeting with the team.

"'Stan, you know about the Pukki situation in Malaysia?'

"'No, what is it?'

"'Err, Pukki trends weekly now on Malaysia....' 'Why!!'

"'It means c**t in Malay slang.'"

Pukki has made an electric start to his debut Premier League season.

He has already bagged nine goals in just 17 games for the Canaries.

The Finnish star, 29, moved to Carrow Road for free last year and scored 30 goals in his debut season, firing Norwich back into the top flight.

And plenty of people were quick to throw in witty replies to Collymore, unsurprisingly.

One said: "Just be careful during the live show yeah?"

Another wrote: "Yes, I can confirmed that. It means the same here in Singapore."

And a third added: "My wife informs me that Pukki means "little fart" in Hungarian."
