Arsenal to sign Man City talent-spotter Sam Fagbemi, 25, as well as Mikel Arteta to boost transfer recruitment
ARSENAL are hoping to complete a DOUBLE raid on Manchester City.
The Gunners are poised to announce their former midfielder and City assistant Mikel Arteta as the man to succeed Unai Emery.
And talent-spotter Sam Fagbemi, currently City's specialist in the south, has been targetted to follow Arteta to the The Emirates.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Arsenal "have offered Fagbemi a stronger grip on their youth recruitment approach in an effort to persuade him to leave City".
It is being reported that "the move is at an advanced stage and is expected to be concluded in the coming days".
Fagbemi, 25, has made a number of exciting additions to City's youth teams including Millwall pair Sam Edozie, 16, and Darko Gyabi, 15, and 16-year-old Josh Wilson-Brand who joined from West Ham.
LOYALTY TO GUARDIOLA
SunSport reported on Thursday how talks between Arsenal and Arteta are at a "sensitive stage".
The Gunners have been working hard to convince the 37-year-old Spaniard to quit his assistant role at Man City to become their new gaffer.
According to Sky Sports, Arteta has yet to decide whether to take the job because of his close relationship with Pep Guardiola.
The prospect of managing at the Etihad in the future is also playing a part in his final decision.
