RB Salzburg hotshot Haaland has been linked with a move to the Red Devils for a while now and a deal is getting ever closer.

Just a day ago the club announced their confidence of agreeing a £76milion deal to sign him next month.

Haaland has scored 24 goals in 22 sppearances this season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes adding him to the squad will boost United's chance of a top four finish in the Premier League.

While Berbatov agrees in his abilities as a future and current talent, the focus for him should be on the team's current players: ''Haaland is good and he is still young. He's developing and maybe he can get better.

''But I've said many times before that Martial and Rashford are, for me, the two main strikers that United need to keep.''

Berbatov, who scored 48 league goals in four season for Old Trafford, went on to talk about Rashford who has scored 14 goals in all competitions this campaign: ''I played with Martial in Monaco, I know how good he can be.

''Now he's in the place he can develop and become a world star.

''Everyone knows how good Rashford can be...they need to stick with these two players.''

Anthony Martial is now back in the starting lineup having recovered from a hamstring injury.

Martial has seven goals to his name this season and is also highly regarded by Berbatov.

The ex-United player went on to say: ''They need to stick with these young players because they have so much talent.

''Nurture them, show them the right way and they'll be fantastic''.

United boss Solskjaer has given opportunities to all three of the team's young forwards this season, though.

Rashford, 22, Martial and 18-year-old Mason Greenwood have made 56 appearances between them this season, with a total of 26 goals.
