Cristiano Ronaldo inspiring Juventus stars to get ripped as he’s ‘often topless and his physique is awesome’, says Costa
DOUGLAS COSTA says Cristiano Ronaldo's "awesome" physique has inspired Juventus team-mates to shift a few pounds.
The Brazilian international reckons the rest of the Old Lady squad want a body like the five-time Ballon d'Or winner - especially as he spends most of his time topless.
Ronaldo joined the Serie A outfit from Real Madrid last summer, with Costa insisting his arrival has had a transformative effect on the diets of the squad.
Speaking to Esporte Interativo, he said: "I've always fed myself well, now more so than ever. I'm 29 and I feel it.
"You often see him Ronaldo topless and his physique is awesome.
"It drives everyone on and we all want to have a body like his.
"From when he arrived at the club, the percentage of body fat throughout squad has gone down.
"It's remarkable. He gives us a lot off the field."
Ronaldo - who had his goal stolen by Aaron Ramsey against Lokomotiv Moscow on Wednesday - was left fuming after being taken off during the Champions League clash.
But boss Maurizio Sarri has declared that the ex-Manchester United forward was angry because of an injury.

He told Sky Sports Italia: "Cristiano Ronaldo was angry because he's not okay.
"He's had a niggle in his knee for the past few days, which is overloading his thigh, which tires him out too much. At the break he was already worried about it.
"Then, when I saw him make a movement I didn't like when he was accelerating, I took him off because I was scared that he might do himself real harm."
