Randy Orton challenges John Cena to grudge fight at Wrestlemania 36 – 12 years since WWE legends last met on the show

RANDY ORTON has called out WWE nemesis John Cena for a grudge match at Wrestlemania 36.

The 39-year-old was jetting to London when he spotted Cena posing on the front cover of an in-flight magazine.

Cena hasn't wrestled in WWE since January when he teamed up against Becky Lynch.

But it hasn't prevented Orton from suggesting the pair to battle - 12 years after last meeting.

He wrote on Instagram: “I’m on a flight to London and see this striking young man asking me a question.

"Why yes @johncena I am up for a challenge, are you?

"Let’s say ohhhh I dunno, #Wrestlemania36 maybe? Or does Hollywood have you booked solid? #WM36”

Orton and Cena were in the ring together in 2008 but in a triple threat match that included Triple H.

Wrestlemania 36 takes place in Tampa on April 5, 2020 and Orton will be there after signing a new five-year deal with the company.

The American had been teasing fans with hints he was heading over to the All Elite franchise before confirming his future with WWE on Wednesday.

Orton, 39, tweeted: "The 3 most dangerous letters in sports entertainment - #RKO.

"Just re-signed with the three most dominant letters in sports entertainment - #WWE.

"Looking forward to pi$$ing off the #WWEUNIVERSE for at least 5 more years."
