Soak Island City, a water park at Kings Island in Ohio, has announced that they are unveiling the state's soon-to-be first dual-racing water coaster called RiverRacers in 2025, according to Fox19 Now.

Part water coaster and part water slide, the ride gives visitors two experiences rolled into one.

The attraction is set to be powered by gravity and water jets.

With side-by-side rafts that take a drop at speeds up to 30 miles per hour, the ride is not for the faint of heart.

And that's just the beginning - riders will then be propelled uphill by the water jets.

There is plenty more splashing in store as you continue on the rest of the course.

As the water jets send riders upward, they peel off into split turns, mirroring each other.

An enclosed tunnel takes passengers through the darkness, special lighting effects and all.

Racers will find the ride has plenty of twists and turns as they are forced into a "high-banking slingshot."

They will be flung around 180 degrees until the grand nail-biting finale - the final mega drop.

The first-place finisher will then be revealed.

“Whether you’re a new water slide rider or an experienced thrill seeker, Soak City offers the largest outdoor water park experience in Ohio,” said Mike Koontz, vice president of Kings Island.

He said the new water coaster is meant for the whole family to enjoy.

CHILD'S PLAY

Kids can also cool off in a new play area featuring seven water slides called Salamander Sliders.

This will be located in the riverside-themed designated kids' play area, Splash River Junction.

Youngsters of all ages will enjoy slides that offer gentle slopes, dips, and turns.

Aside from Bluegill Lagoon, a new take on an old-fashioned "swimmin' hole," with its own water tower, hundreds of new loungers and chairs will offer guests a chance to escape to some shade.

If you're ready to get your thrill on, guests can purchase season passes, which cost $120 and grant access to the park for the rest of the year and into 2025.
