Star Wars film props including C-3PO’s head set to fetch eye-watering sum at auction
A stick used by Yoda is also up for grabs
BIDDERS will be out in force as Star Wars film props and memorabilia go up for sale.
The light-up C-3PO head from 1983’s Return of the Jedi is set to fetch up to £790,000.

Anthony Daniels, who plays C-3PO in the Star Wars franchise, says: “I hope these wonderful pieces of memorabilia find new homes where they will be displayed, respected and enjoyed by fans, who now have a chance to own a genuine piece of Star Wars history.”
And a Stormtrooper helmet may sell for £238,000 at Propstore auction, LA, on March 12.
Yoda’s 20in “gimer” stick from 1980’s The Empire Strikes Back could fetch £65,000 at Studio Auctions in LA on Saturday.
A Studio Auctions spokesman said: “Yoda’s distinctive gimer stick was often seen in Jedi Master Yoda’s interactions with Luke Skywalker before his demise on Dagobah.
“It belies Yoda’s advanced age and wisdom but also creates the false impression that he is feeble.
“It bears signs of wear, with scuffing evident around the handle, and has undergone a sympathetic restoration to address a fracture in the staff that occurred during production.”
Auctioneer Brad Teplitsky added: “Yoda is a cult character and this is an iconic prop.
“Star Wars is one of the most popular franchises in the world and we think this stick is going to do really well.”
