She appeared on Today on Tuesday to talk about her book and her recent surgery.

Kathie called in via video chat to speak with anchors Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, and Sheinelle Jones.

Kathie Lee said that she had a hip replacement in early July that she needed because her hips were "down to the nubs."

As she recovered, Kathie Lee said that she suffered an unfortunate incident.

One day in July, her friend got locked out of her Tennessee house and Kathie, who was using a walker at the time, came "running down the stairs" to open the door for her.

"It was 100 degrees at the time and I live in a four-story house," she explained.

"So, I went too fast, in stupid shoes and I went tumbling," she shared.

The star had "cracked her pelvis in the front and the back."

She previously revealed to People in July that the fall was "unbelievably painful."

"That's more painful than anything I went through with the hip," she told the outlet.

She was rushed to the hospital to discover the extent of her injuries - and stayed there for a week undergoing physical therapy.

She also told the outlet that she believes she took the fall due to her "weakening" herself the day before.

"I weakened my body. It's my own fault," she said as she explained that she had moved 300 books by herself the day prior during a book signing event.

The event was to celebrate her book, Herod and Mary, which was released in July.

COMPLETELY HEALED

Kathie Lee returned home from the hospital and after healing for two weeks, was surprised to realize that she wasn't experiencing any more pain from the pelvic fracture.

She wasn't taking any painkillers at the time so the star was confused as to how she wasn't in any pain given the serious extent of her injuries.

She told the Today anchors that she called her doctor and asked, "Shouldn't I [still] be in a lot of pain?"

"Yes, you should. It's only been two weeks," she recalled her doctor telling her.

He recommended she go to the hospital for another X-ray to check on her injury.

She had her follow-up appointment with her doctor last Thursday.

To both of their shock, Kathie had fully healed from her pelvic fracture.

Her doctor showed her her X-ray and told her, "You are healed. It is a miracle."

The injury had only happened two weeks prior, making her speedy recovery a pleasant surprise.

"Now you can have one glass of wine if you want," the doctor had jokingly said to her.

As Kathie retold the story, she laughed along with the Today anchors.

"You have to give credit and glory to all the prayers," Kathie said as she appeared emotional.

"I sob when I think about the people that have reached out to me and said, 'Kathie, speedy recovery, we're praying for a speedy recovery.'"

"That's about as speedy as you get, you know?" she said.

Kathie told the anchors that she is now in no pain and is grateful for her doctor and her fans who have supported her.
