Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman will reunite for the 'long Way' franchise.

The brand new series, which is currently untitled, will follow the pals a bit closer to home this time.

Fans will watch as Ewan, 53, and Charley, 57, ride refurbished motorcycles from both their homes in the UK.

Their journey will see them travel across the North Sea to Scandinavia, heading up to the Arctic Circle before going through Continental Europe.

Speaking about the new series, Trainspotting star Ewan said: "On a rather tricky, sandy bit of ‘Long Way Up,’ Charley and I started to daydream about another trip to keep our minds off the scary road at hand!”

While Charley added: “This is that trip. Rusty old bikes and 10,000 miles of Scandinavia, and Eastern and Central Europe.

"A big loop from my house in Scotland to Charley’s house in England. Long way home … magic.”

Just as fans might expect once the duo hit the road they're taking the longest route to their destination.

McGregor and Boorman revived the two-decade old series in 2020, taking it to Apple TV.

During the mid-noughties the show aired on the BBC as well as Sky.
