Acclaimed Shreveport artist, writer and filmmaker William Joyce has created the design of Louisiana's 2024 "I Voted" sticker, which was unveiled Monday at the Old Governor's Mansion in Baton Rouge.

Secretary of State Nancy Landry, the state's chief elections officer, joined Joyce to present the artwork and new sticker, which has become wildly popular among voters. Previous stickers from artists like the late George Rodrigue of "Blue Dog" fame can often be found for sale on online sites like eBay.

The sticker, featuring a crawfish dressed in patriotic garb, will be distributed to voters when they cast their ballots in the Nov. 5 presidential election.

"Louisiana voters love their 'I Voted' stickers," Landry said at the press conference.

Joyce, a Rennaissance man who has won six Emmys, an Academy Award and earned the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Illustrators, is known globablly for his work. His breakthrough came as the concept artist for the "Toy Story" film in the 1990s.

About Joyce, longtime friend and award-winning book jacket designer Chip Kidd once said: “If only we could see it all through Bill Joyce’s eyes: where everything is so awkwardly beautiful, gorgeously flawed, slap-stick perfect.  It’s the world we would all love to move into tomorrow, if only there was any space available."
