Five people died in a Louisiana house fire Saturday morning on Bayou Blue in Lafourche Parish with a lone survivor.

Authorities have not identified the victims of the fire. Officials with the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office said a cause of the fire hasn't been determined and an investigation will likely take several days and include interviews and video.

Five dead and one injured in Bayou Blue house fire at 313 Louise Ln, Saturday, July 13, at around 3:45 a.m.

"The fire is very much still under investigation, and we are still trying to figure out the cause of the fire," State Fire Marshal Bryan Adams said on the scene.

Adams did say preliminary interviews suggested a loud bang preceded the fire, but at this time foul play isn't suspected.

The Bayou Blue Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call of the fire around 3:45 a.m. in the 300 block of Louise Lane.

Agency officials haven't released the identity, age, sex or any information about the victims.

According to Adams, the sole survivor is in stable condition.
