Marcello's Wine Market and Cafe made Wine Spectator's list for the second year in a row. It's Charley G's first time to be recognized.
Wine Spectator's Restaurant Awards recognizes restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers, according to their website.
Open since 1985, Charley G's offers a wine list that features 175 wines by the bottle, 30 of them are offered by the glass.
The casual, upscale space also has bar area with live piano music every nights of the week.
Marcello's Wine Market and Cafe served Lafayette long before becoming a restaurant. Located on Johnston street, the market part of the business is a retail wine store specializing in fine wines, liquors and beer.
The restaurant serves as a full dining experience with authentic Italian Cuisine.
Both restaurants are apart of the Southern Hospitality Kitchens Restaurant Group, a Lafayette-based restaurant group that also owns, manages and operates Social Southern Table and Bar, The Tap Room & Pete's.
Many other Louisiana restaurants made Wine Spectacle's list, including in New Orleans.
