As if New Orleans isn't already in the national TV spotlight on the eve of Mardi Gras on Monday, TLC is joining the crowd.
The network's series "90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life" will have fan-favorite Tyray Mollett going on the very first date of his life with Taresa in New Orleans. The two will be led by an eccentric guide on a ghost tour through the city's French Quarter. On a previous episode, Mollett, of Modesto, California, first meets Taresa at iconic three-bar watering hole Pat O'Brien's. He's there with his brothers who've taken him on a guys' trip to the Big Easy in hopes of meeting women.
Viewers who have followed Mollett's story, first on "90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days" and now on spinoff series "The Single Life," watched as Mollett, who thought he was in a four-year, online relationship with a woman named Carmella found out he had been catfished by a man posing as the aforementioned woman. A devastated Mollett eventually met the real Carmella, but romance failed to bloom.
"The Single Life" features cast members from "Before the 90 Days" whose long-distance relationships with partners abroad don't work out. The "90 days" part refers to the visa which the overseas mates obtain in order to fly to and spend three months in America, all the while with a 90-day deadline to marry or return to their home country.

Covington residents Jovi Dufren and Ukranian wife Yara Zaya's romance, Las Vegas wedding and marriage unfolded on "90 Day Fiancé" in 2020. The couple, who have a young daughter, have since appeared on franchise series "Pillow Talk," "90 Day: The Last Resort," "90 Day: Happily Ever After" and "90 Day Bares All."
"90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life" airs at 7 p.m. Mondays on TLC.
