LSU defeated Ole Miss 5-1 in the first game of the final series of the regular season at Alex Box Stadium. The game, which was started early due to weather issues, saw starter Gage Jump deliver six solid innings until a weather delay halted the action in the bottom of the sixth. Once play resumed the Tigers saw stellar pitching from the pen in the win.
