The exhibit, 'An Artist Legacy: A Tribute to a Mentor,' featuring the work of Larry Casso, Chryl Casso-Corizzo and Stacey Uffman Casso, is showing through Oct. 27 at the Gallery at the Manship Theatre in the Shaw Center for the Arts, 100 Lafayette St.

Larry Casso grew up in New Orleans, were he studied at the John McCrady Art School. His art skills were effectively used in the aerospace and defense industries, where he did extensive illustrations of the Saturn IB that launched the first moon rocket out of its Earth orbit toward the moon.

Casso opened the Baton Rouge Fine Arts Academy in 1973 and a satellite school in Mandeville.

Casso-Corrizo and Uffman Casso both studied with Larry Casso and embarked on their own art careers.

Hours are 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
