Clinton High Band members sought for Bicentennial

On the Clinton is Home Facebook page, a call has been made for members of the former Clinton High Band to reunite for the Oct. 5 bicentennial celebration of the town. Go to the page and express your interest.

The Clinton Is Home committee has several things in the works for the town's 200th birthday.

Designs and applications are being accepted for official artwork that will represent the historic celebration. The contest is open to all current and former residents of East Feliciana Parish. All entries must be accompanied by an application and submitted by July 15.

A bake sale is being planned for Aug. 3. The design contest winner will be announced at the bake sale.

The committee is also looking for recipes for a cookbook.
