The veteran singer contacted the TV channel offering to pay for hospital scans for those who cannot afford them. The 78-year-old rock star said he hoped others would follow his lead, calling the UK's healthcare situation 'ridiculous'. Stewart also called for a change in government. 'I personally have been a Tory for a long time, and I think this government should stand down now,' he said
