The sign of a good character comedian is the longevity of their creations; they take on lives and journeys of their own, forming personas so well-rounded that you actually believe they exist. One such character is Graham Fellows' alter ego, chairman of the keyboard John Shuttleworth. The retired security guard and Eurovision entrant inhabits a 1970s world of his own, where Viennetta is still advertised on TV, yet his outdated cultural references and catchy pop songs continue to make him quite a character.
