Megan Thee Stallion is set to join Vice President Kamala Harris at her campaign rally in Atlanta for a “special performance” on Tuesday night.

First reported by Billboard, the “Mamushi” rapper confirmed that she would attend the event in a July 29 Instagram post, writing, “ATL HOTTIES SEE YOU TOMORROW 🇺🇸💙.” Megan previously spent some time with the VP in March 2023 when she attended Harris’ Women’s History Month brunch at her Washington, D.C. home, sharing a selfie of them together.

Today’s rally marks Harris’ first trip to Georgia since kicking off her campaign earlier this month in the wake of President Joe Biden’s announcement that he would no longer seek the Democratic nomination for president. The battleground state played a key role in Biden’s 2020 win, going blue for the first time since 1992.

Of course, Megan isn’t the only other person who will appear at the event. Harris will also be joined by Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, as well as former Georgia State lawmaker Stacey Abrams, who played a key role in turning the Peach State blue during the last presidential election. Several high-profile musicians, including Lil Nas X, Olivia Rodrigo, and Cardi B, have already endorsed Harris’ presidential bid.

Beyoncé’s “Freedom” soundtracked Harris’ first official campaign ad. And last week, Harris shared a TikTok video alongside openly gay NSYNC alum Lance Bass in which he asked her what they would say to her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump, during the election month of November. “Bye, bye, bye!” she replied with a grin, referencing NSYNC’s hit song of the same name.

It’s impossible to talk about Harris’ campaign without mentioning her unique relationship to Gen Z pop culture. She has become a uniquely memeable candidate, with TikTokers rushing to edit her famous “coconut tree” analogy into a bevy of pop songs. Meanwhile, “brat summer” became part of Harris’ brand when Charli XCX, the gays’ favorite British hyperpop star, famously tweeted, “Kamala IS brat,” launching the lime-green cultural moment into the mainstream political stratosphere.
