FOODIES have been left drooling by Aldi’s latest takeaway dupe that’s perfect for a post-dinner sweet treat.

The budget supermarket’s Carlos Takeaway range is famed for its Domino’s-esque pizzas and sides.

But now, it’s dropped a brand new dessert to rival the new Domino’s Cookies stuffed with a whole Cadbury Creme Egg.

Aldi has loaded its Carlos Takeaway Chocolate Chip Melt in the Middle Cookies with a gooey centre - just like the pizza giant.

The dupe will set you back £2.25 for four cookies, while Domino’s version is a whopping £6.99 for just two cookies.

Aldi’s cookies have gone viral on Facebook, with foodies saying they “look lush” and “can’t wait to get them this weekend”.

"Aldi is doing bits," one penned.

They’re ready to eat cold but are best served warmed up in the oven to make the chocolate centre melt.

What’s more, Aldi’s melty-middle cookies are a healthier choice than Domino’s at 168 calories per cookie.

The takeaway version with a Creme Egg in the middle is an eye-watering 370 calories per cookie.

“Domino’s Cookies are already a firm favourite for takeaway lovers,” a blurb on the pizza giant’s website reads.

“They’re a decadent combo of chocolate chips, vanilla and creamy cookie dough – prepped in store by our Domino’s chefs, and baked to perfection before boxed.

“Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know stuffed cookies are MEGA.

“This popular food trend sees the creation of gourmet cookies by wrapping cookie dough around another treat, for a whole other layer of flavour and texture.

“So we’ve taken the above and made them even better!

“A whole Cadbury Creme Egg is packed into our glorious cookie dough before baking.

“The result? A thing of beauty, a sheer indulgence.”

It’s not just food dupes that have Aldi shoppers rushing to stores this week.

One savvy shopper found a dupe of Charlotte Tilbury’s £28 lip oil for just £2.99.
