A WOMAN has revealed that she flew to Turkey to get her hair done because it was much cheaper than the UK.
Michelle, a beauty fan who is from New Zealand but is currently living in London, flew 1,5000 miles to Istanbul, for a trip to a hair salon.

She revealed that it was “less than half the price” of getting her hair done in London, and she was thrilled with the results.
Posting on social media, Michelle documented her journey from the UK to Istanbul, and gave her followers a before and after look at her long locks.
The clip was posted with the caption ‘I saved so much money pretty sure that means my flights were basically free right?’, and we initially saw Michelle board her flight, as she explained: “I flew from London to Istanbul to get my hair done for less than half the price and it was so, so worth it.”
Michelle revealed: “When we landed, we got picked up in a very fancy car - they had a TV screen, water, snacks, everything.”

She then shared a look at her long, dark hair, which she confirmed had “over one year worth of regrowth.”
Michelle claimed that the last time she had her hair done was back in October 2022, when she was living in New Zealand.
Prior to her hair appointment, the content creator tucked into a buffet breakfast at the Movenpick Hotel and then got picked up by an Uber.
After a 20 minute cab journey, Michelle arrived in Pendik, and once at the hair salon, she shared: “First they gave me a haircut, which was much needed.

“And then they put all the bleach in - it was a lot of bleach.”
After she got her hair bleached, Michelle had a keratin treatment - a process that smooths and straightens hair.

Thrilled with her new hairdo, Michelle beamed: “Look how gorgeous it is - all up it cost me £170 for the dye, cut, keratin treatment, and they gave me free shampoo and purple shampoo.”
Michelle then explained that she “highly, highly recommends” getting your hair done abroad and was smiling from ear to ear at not only her new hair, but the price too.
But how does this stack up in reality?

Michelle flew from London to Istanbul, in February.
Whilst the fastest flight will cost you £159, the cheapest return deal is £54, and the average is £68.
Michelle stayed at the Movenpick hotel in Istanbul, and a standard room, on the advance saver rate, costs £131.26.

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @_michellejw, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 270,800 views.
But social media users were left stunned by Michelle’s clip - and many flocked to the comments to share their thoughts.
